Online Wills

Make your Will with Richard Nelson Online.

Provided that you do not have a complicated estate, then there is no reason why you cannot make your Will entirely online from the comfort of your own home†.

Our online Will service is not only simple to use, with its straight forward step-by-step approach, but also it gives you the security of knowing that your Will has been checked* through by our legally qualified staff before it is sent to you for signing and you have the option at any time either to purchase additional legal support or to switch to a bespoke service. What is more, you can take a break at any point, save what you have done, then come back later to finish it.

It really is that easy, and since it costs you nothing to get started, why wait?

Four Simple Steps

Number One
Step One
Go to the Start Drafting Your Will page and choose your Will from the list or find out which Will is best for you using the “Choose the Right Will” button. Remember you can find out more about the document and preview it before you need to buy.
Number Two
Step Two
Complete the questionnaire and watch as your Will creates itself in the box alongside. Remember you can choose to save your draft document at any point and return to it when you are ready.
Number Three
Step Three
Check your Will through and when you are happy with the answers you have given, pay for it and submit it to us for review. You can choose at this point to purchase additional advice, elect to have your draft Will posted to you or pay to have your Will stored safely with our WillSafe service.
Number Four
Step Four
Once we have reviewed your Will, we will either upload it to the secure “My Services” section of the website so that you can download together with instructions on what to do next, or post your Will to you together with the appropriate instructions on what to do next.

How does the online Will system work?

There are a number of ways that you can use our system to produce your Will.

If you have not registered with us before, you can:

    • register first and then choose to preview the document you are interested in before you are required to pay for it;
    • go straight into the preview and then register when you wish to save or buy the document; or
    • if you know wish document you want, you can simply purchase it straight away.

Those who have registered before can simply login using the login box on the right.

Once you have decided on the document you wish to make:

    • click on the appropriate link (either trial or purchase) this will open up a new screen with two boxes. The one on the left contains a questionaire and links to explanations of what is required – the one on the right contains your document which you are compiling.
    • As you answer the questions, the Will document changes to reflect your answers. Even the questions you are asked are dictated by your answers to earlier ones.
    • At every step of the way, we will explain to you what the questions mean by using helpful explanatory boxes alongside each question.
    • When you have finished, submit the Will to us and we will check* it through and upload it to your list of documents so that you can download and print it or, if you have requested us to do so, we will print off the document for you and send it to you by post. In each case you will receive instructions on what to do next.

It really couldn’t be more simple.

    • No solicitors appointments necessary.
    • No travelling to an office to give your instructions.
    • No large bills at the end.

We even provide you with full guidance on:

    • what to think about before you start,
    • who to appoint as executor,
    • what can go into your Will,
    • making arrangements for your children,
    • how to sign it and have it witnessed,

and much, much more.

If at any time you are unhappy about what you are doing or want more advice or assistance, simply either request additional telephone advice or switch to our bespoke Will service and we will provide you with the help you need.

†Note that an online Will is suitable only for less complicated estates. If you are likely to need to make arrangements to reduce the impact of inheritance tax, if you wish to make a trust or if you have business, farming, overseas propety or other similar issues of which you must take account, then we advise that you speak with one of our legally qualified staff before commencing your Will. You can contact us on the number at the top of this page or request a call-back using the form to the right of this page.

*For more information about the kind of issues which we consider when checking your draft Will, please see our terms and conditions.
